Not sunk

With the recent lack of activity on this blog, you may think that Dragonfly is at the bottom of Narragansett Bay. Fear not! I had several great sails in 2008, but didn’t really break any new ground as far as destinations or on-the-water experiences.

Now, Dragonfly is snuggled under her tarp for the winter. I hope to be adding more pics and posts in the spring.

Happy New Year!

I’m jealous. Many, many years ago, I had a Pearson Electra which I christened Soul Possession. I bought her as an almost wreck in a scruffy boatyard on the south side of Chicago. Completely rebuilt her and when I got to my crusing grounds in Peoria, Illinois, people thought she was a new boat. Two coats of Imron and lots and lots of elbow grease. I moved her to Wisconsin where I had plans to sail her from Green Bay up to Georgian Bay but then was transferred to Europe. I sold her in 1978 and haven’t heard of her since. But she’s still in my dreams. I’ve had half a dozen other boats since then, but she’s the one closest to my heart. I named her well. Good sailing and hope you enjoy your boat as much as I enjoyed mine!

Put that thing in the water before summer 2009 is over!
