Spring 2009

I am about a month behind schedule. The weather this spring has been just awful and I have found all sorts of excuses to avoid getting the boat ready for launch. It is July 4 weekend and Dragonfly is still in my yard. Not cool!

However, the end is in sight. The following projects have been completed:

Clean and re-caulk the portside chainplates.
Caulk the portside hatch rail.
Paint the cabin floor and bilge hatches.
Apply anti-fouling paint to the hull.

I vow to take more pictures this year!!

    Rick:

I’m in the process of cleaning out my garage and storage unit in hopes of selling some stuff. One of the things I’m thinking of selling is the Jester Dinghy (8′ fiberglass sailboat) that my father used to introduce me to sailing when was in high school.

Going through the bag containing the Jester’s sail, I came across some larger sails that I hadn’t noticed before. Seeing the stylized E logo (with lightning) on thw sails triggered the memory that my father had once owned an Electra sailboat (presumably before I was born).

You’re the only Electra site I’ve found on the web (the link to Ken Jolly’s site is broken.) Would you be able to help me find a good home for these sails? They seem to be in pretty decent shape.

    Thanks!

      Drew, I’ve got a 15hp – which is more than I need.
